We are delighted to invite you to the vernissage of the duo exhibition by Nioosha Vaezzadeh and Chidimma Omeke as part of the Idar-Oberstein schmückt sich exhibition programme:

On Thursday, 10 April 2025, 6:30 pm at Villa Bengel and via livestream (Instagram: jakobbengel), with a welcoming greeting from Peter Wenzel and an introduction by Prof. Theo Smeets.

The Iranian and Nigerian artists will be presenting the results of their Master's studies at the Idar-Oberstein Gemstone and Jewellery Campus. The cultural roots, rituals and social situation of their home countries resonate in all their works: Nioosha's work deals with the position of women in Islamic society; Chidimma's work addresses masquerade and identity; his thesis redefines jewellery as an extension of the mask.
